The Mission Continues

The Mission Continues is a national nonprofit organization challenging post-9/11 veterans to rebuild a sense of purpose through community service.The Mission Continues does not offer charity; rather, it offers a challenge to veterans to inspire their communities through continued service and leadership. Fellowships are 26 weeks in length and require 520 hours of service (an average of 20 hours a week), during which the Fellow serves at a nonprofit organization in their community. Fellows work on issues ranging from education to the environment and from disaster preparedness to homelessness. Each fellowship is unique. Fellows are encouraged to choose a fellowship location based on their personal passions.

In order to apply for a Mission Continues Fellowship you must meet the following criteria:
Service in the United States Military after September 11, 2001; No longer on Active/Guard/Reserve status (IRR/ING status is acceptable) and having attained an honorable discharge; A minimum of 24 months of time in service, unless serious injury was sustained preventing further service; and a clean criminal record check (individual circumstances may be discussed on a case-by-case basis).
