Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
I thought my military experience served me well, and it did, until I became a civilian/entrepreneur. What a transition! I learned so much about myself. I had to reprogram myself and repackage my skills in order to effectively transition to civilian life. As a woman in the military I was direct, blunt, and sometimes abrasive. I learned quickly this approach does not work in civilian life. My greatest lesson learned was that I already possessed the skills needed to be a successful business owner.
